For our Client from the construction industry, we are seeking candidates for the position of Business Controlling Manager. We offer legal employment based on a Polish employment contract.

Business Controlling Manager (M/K/X)
- Supervising project controlling and supporting project managers in result management,
- Monitoring the project baseline budget and its changes during execution,
- Analyzing current project performance and preparing result and cost forecasts, including the Estimate at Completion (EAC),
- Monitoring the project margin, its current level, and the forecasted result at contract completion,
- Analyzing variances between budget, actuals, and forecast, and identifying their causes,
- Assessing the impact of scope, schedule, cost, price, indexation changes, and other contractual events on the project result,
- Collaborating with project teams to identify and monitor contractual and financial risks,
- Monitoring costs incurred by subcontractors (PW) and their compliance with the budget, contract scope, and work progress,
- Analyzing settlements with subcontractors and suppliers and the impact of their performance on the project result,
- Monitoring the financial performance of the project in relation to the physical progress of work,
- Analyzing the relationships between actual costs, cost commitments, performance, invoicing, and the forecasted cost at project completion,
- Verifying the validity and correctness of recording project costs, including invoices, liabilities, and other charges,
- Participating in the project result update process and preparing periodic forecasts,
- Preparing analyses and recommendations for project managers and management,
- Supporting project managers in making decisions affecting cost, margin, cash flow, and the final contract result,
- Collaborating with the bidding department in assessing the financial conditions of future contracts and identifying potential risks already at the bidding stage,
- Analyzing the provisions of tender documentation, particularly the Terms of Reference (SWZ/SIWZ), in terms of their impact on the economics and risks of project execution,
- Reviewing contracts, guarantees, securities, and other contractual documents from a financial and controlling perspective,
- Initiating and implementing solutions to increase the transparency of the project result, data quality, and decision-making speed,
- Developing standards, procedures, and tools for project controlling and ensuring their application within the organization,
- Managing the controlling team, developing their competencies, and building a culture of accountability for data quality and results.
- Long-term cooperation.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in controlling, including experience in team management or acting as an expert in large projects,
- Experience in controlling infrastructure, linear, construction, or investment projects,
- Practical knowledge of project result management mechanisms: baseline budget, budget update, forecast, EAC, margin, variances, committed costs, and final project result,
- Experience working with contracts executed with the involvement of subcontractors and suppliers,
- Knowledge of project cost accounting principles and analysis of their compliance with the contract scope and budget,
- Ability to analyze the impact of contractual changes, indexation, claims, scope and schedule changes on the project result,
- Ability to identify financial and contractual risks and assess their potential impact on margin,
- Ability to read financial data in the context of actual project progress, not solely at the accounting level,
- Very good knowledge of MS Excel; knowledge of Power Query, VBA/Visual Basic, and Business Intelligence tools is a plus,
- Knowledge of ERP systems and tools supporting project controlling,
- High business acumen and the ability to translate data into specific decisions and recommendations,
- Very good analytical skills, inquisitiveness, and the ability to ask the right questions,
- Independence, responsibility, and consistency in enforcing arrangements,
- Developed communication skills and the ability to cooperate with people of various competencies – from finance to technical and project teams,
- Experience in team management and the ability to build accountability for achieving goals.
